The Nifty and Sensex, which show how well the stock market is doing, are going up on Friday. This is because big companies like ICICI Bank, ITC, and Reliance Industries are doing well.
The BSE Sensex reached a high of 72,946 points, and it went up by 100 points to reach 72,500 points. The Nifty50 stayed above 22,000 points.
NTPC went up by 3%, making it the top gainer among the top 30 stocks in the Sensex. Other companies like Asain Paints, Power Grid, JSW Steel, ITC, and Bharti Airtel also did well. However, IT shares didn’t do so well.
In the broader market, the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices did better than the main indices. They went up by 0.7%.
